Album “Sweet Jane” – 217
Together with my friend Liz Awadein, we’re in a project band called 217. These three songs (Sweet Jane, Wings, Pillar of Salt) are from our first album.
For the most part, Liz wrote the lyrics and melody and I wrote and arranged the music. I co-produced the songs and played keyboards.

This one was bittersweet. She came in to record one day, and we heard her crying and singing through the microphone. Her mom explained to us that her grandfather had just passed away. We recorded what she was singing in the moment, and within a week we had helped her to write this beautiful memorial to him. She provided me some home video and photos and I made a lyric video for the song — Here I Am.

Back in 2015, I wrote and released an album of cinematic piano music. The goal was just to demonstrate what I could do with composition. I knew almost nothing about recording when I produced this album, and there are a lot of things I’d do differently if I had it to do all over again today. Still, I wrote almost every note in this album, and it was a labor of love.
